Terra cotta is Italian for baked earth. The warm, rich clay is a wonderful choice for the modern, natural home. The raw, elemental clay brings echoes of the past which join with fresh new colors to make something useful and beautiful. Our work is made to be used and enjoyed. Terra cotta cooks like a dream - it holds the temperature and transmits the heat well. It is all oven and dishwasher safe. We don't recommend microwaving. The iron in the clay makes the pot warm. It is not dangerous, but can sometimes shorten the life of the pottery. All of our pottery is leadfree.
