 Joyce Fritz is a Wisconsin artist who creates a world of fanciful bugs, butterflies and other critters out of polymer clay. She began her career designing jewelry in porcelain. In 1988 Joyce discovered polymer clay. Her first "bugs" appeared in 1993 as a unique promotional item for a local museum's garden-themed exhibit.
