Rachel Croom is a local (Beaufort, NC) artist who works in precious metal clay - fine silver or bronze embedded in a clay matrix. The clay is formed, then fired and the clay burns away, leaving just the fine silver or bronze. She combines these metal pieces with semi precious stones and crystals to make beautiful jewelry.
